Austria, ca. 1920. A set of five Secessionist arm chairs manufactured by Kohn Mundus. Each features curved Art Nouveau design with upholstered seat and back, which appear to be finished in original wax cloth. Founded in 1849, J. & J. Kohn became Kohn Mundus in 1914. The company was one of the leading furniture makers in Austria-Hungary, and one of the primary competitors of Gebrüder Thonet. All in good vintage condition with appropriate wear and and signs of use. A quirky and soulful addition to any dining table. Dimensions: 22.5” wide x 20” deep x 39” high - 18” seat height.
