Japan, ca. 1960s. A classic foldable rocking chair with canvas sling designed by Takeshi Nii. Named 'NY' after the designer's surname, which means 'new' in Danish. The recipient of many awards, this chair became part of MOMA's permanent collection in 1970. A nice vintage example in excellent condition. Dimensions: 28.5” deep x 24” wide x 37” high; 15.5” seat height.
