USA, ca. 1960s. A three-seat tuxedo sofa from Ben Thompson’s seating collection for Design Research designed in 1953. Features a solid ash frame with hand-tied coil springs supported by tubular, brushed metal legs. Vintage mohair upholstery is in overall excellent condition. Pleasing camel color would work well in a variety of interiors. Back cushions are foam with a down wrap and seat cushions or foam with a Dacron wrap, which create a comfortable, supportive seating experience. A true Cambridge classic.
