USA, ca. 1810. A set of four late Sheraton dining chairs most likely from New England. Each features solid tiger maple construction with rectangular crest and shaped splat supported by vase and ring-turned legs, joined by shaped stretchers. Wide woven seats are quite comfortable. Sturdy and a bit whimsical, these would make for an unexpected contrast to something like a Saarinen tulip table or contemporary glass/metal piece. Perfect for a beach house, cottage, or weekend retreat. In overall excellent antique condition. Dimensions: 18.75” wide x 16.75” deep x 33” high; 17.75” seat height (side).
